{"id":3152,"date":"2024-08-21T09:00:38","date_gmt":"2024-08-21T09:00:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tradetrovex.com\/index.php\/2024\/08\/21\/vogue-and-wired-publisher-conde-nast-signs-new-deal-with-openai\/"},"modified":"2024-08-21T09:00:38","modified_gmt":"2024-08-21T09:00:38","slug":"vogue-and-wired-publisher-conde-nast-signs-new-deal-with-openai","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tradetrovex.com\/index.php\/2024\/08\/21\/vogue-and-wired-publisher-conde-nast-signs-new-deal-with-openai\/","title":{"rendered":"Vogue and Wired publisher Conde Nast signs new deal with OpenAI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Vogue, Wired and GQ publisher Conde Nast has done a multi-year deal with OpenAI.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>artificial intelligence<\/strong> company announced the partnership on Tuesday, saying ChatGPT and its prototype tool SearchGPT would display content from \u201ctop brands like Vogue, The New Yorker, Cond\u00e9 Nast Traveler, GQ, Architectural Digest, Vanity Fair, Wired, Bon App\u00e9tit, and more\u201d.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sdc-site-outbrain sdc-site-outbrain--AR_6\">    <\/div>\n<p>The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.<\/p>\n<p>In June, <strong>OpenAI<\/strong> and Time magazine announced a \u201cmulti-year content deal\u201d to allow OpenAI to access more than 100 years of Time\u2019s content.<\/p>\n<p>When users search for something in ChatGPT, OpenAI will be able to display Time\u2019s content and use Time\u2019s content \u201cto enhance its products\u201d, or, likely, to train its AI models, according to a press release.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad ad--teads\">        <\/div>\n<p>OpenAI has also recently signed deals with the Financial Times, Business Insider-owner Axel Springer, France\u2019s Le Monde and Spain\u2019s Prisa Media.<\/p>\n<p>The deals come amid lawsuits from other media companies. The New York Times and eight other daily papers are suing OpenAI over copyright infringement after their content was allegedly used to train ChatGPT.<\/p>\n<p>Brad Lightcap, chief operating officer at OpenAI, said the company is committed to working with Conde Nast and other news publishers to \u201censure that as AI plays a larger role in news discovery and delivery, it maintains accuracy, integrity and respect for quality reporting\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>News companies are facing difficult times, as many technology companies eroded publishers\u2019 ability to monetise content, said Roger Lynch, chief executive of Conde Nast, in a memo to employees.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur partnership with OpenAI begins to make up for some of that revenue,\u201d said Mr Lynch.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div>This post appeared first on sky.com<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Vogue, Wired and GQ publisher Conde Nast has done a multi-year deal with OpenAI.
