{"id":3651,"date":"2024-09-03T13:00:34","date_gmt":"2024-09-03T13:00:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/tradetrovex.com\/index.php\/2024\/09\/03\/strange-noises-coming-from-faulty-boeing-spacecraft-arent-serious-says-nasa\/"},"modified":"2024-09-03T13:00:34","modified_gmt":"2024-09-03T13:00:34","slug":"strange-noises-coming-from-faulty-boeing-spacecraft-arent-serious-says-nasa","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/tradetrovex.com\/index.php\/2024\/09\/03\/strange-noises-coming-from-faulty-boeing-spacecraft-arent-serious-says-nasa\/","title":{"rendered":"Strange noises coming from faulty Boeing spacecraft aren\u2019t serious, says NASA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Strange noises that were heard coming from the Boeing Starliner currently docked on the International Space Station (ISS) are not serious, says NASA.<\/p>\n<p>Astronaut Butch Wilmore, who has been stuck on the <strong>ISS<\/strong> with his colleague Suni since early July because of Starliner\u2019s problems, told mission control he could hear \u201cstrange\u201d sounds coming from the spacecraft over the weekend.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sdc-site-outbrain sdc-site-outbrain--AR_6\">    <\/div>\n<p>\u201cI don\u2019t know what\u2019s making it,\u201d he said to his colleagues back on Earth.<\/p>\n<p>He asked them to \u201cscratch your heads and see if you can figure out what\u2019s going on\u201d, asking them to \u201ccall us if you figure it out\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Mission control noted it sounded like a \u201cpulsing noise, almost like a sonar ping\u201d.<\/p>\n<div class=\"ad ad--teads\">        <\/div>\n<p>Now, <strong>NASA<\/strong> has confirmed the noise has stopped and is not anything to worry about.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cA pulsing sound from a speaker in <strong>Boeing\u2019s<\/strong> Starliner spacecraft heard by NASA astronaut Butch Wilmore aboard the International Space Station has stopped,\u201d said the agency in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe feedback from the speaker was the result of an audio configuration between the space station and Starliner.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The audio system in the space station connects multiple spacecraft and modules.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is common to experience noise and feedback,\u201d said NASA.<\/p>\n<p>Crucially, the space agency said the noises will have no impact on the crew or space station operations, including Friday\u2019s planned departure of Starliner from the ISS.<\/p>\n<p>The beleaguered spacecraft has been stuck at the space station since July.
